Green Silicon Carbide (GC)

Green silicon carbide provides sharp cutting action, high hardness, and good thermal conductivity. It is suited to cemented carbide, glass, ceramics, stone, graphite, non-ferrous metals, and other hard, brittle materials. It is not recommended for carbon steel or tough steel.

White Aluminum Oxide (WA)

White aluminum oxide is a hard, sharp abrasive for precision grinding with relatively low heat generation. Typical uses include high-carbon steel, chilled steel, high-speed steel, alloy steel, blades, threads, drills, and gears.

Chrome Corundum (PA)

Chrome corundum combines sharp cutting action with good toughness. It is suitable for precision form grinding, HSS tool sharpening, stainless steel, hardened steel, measuring tools, instrument parts, and threaded workpieces.

Brown Aluminum Oxide (A)

Brown aluminum oxide offers good toughness for general-purpose grinding of carbon steel, alloy steel, malleable cast iron, and hard bronze. Its vitrified bond supports consistent cutting in off-hand and precision grinding applications.

How to Choose

• Select GC for carbide, ceramics, glass, stone, graphite, and non-ferrous materials.
• Select WA for hardened, high-carbon, high-speed, and alloy steels.
• Select PA for precision tool sharpening and fine grinding of stainless or hardened steel.
• Select A for general-purpose grinding of steel, cast iron, and hard bronze.

Confirm wheel dimensions, abrasive type, grit, machine compatibility, and rated operating speed before installation. Use a wheel guard and appropriate eye, face, hearing, and respiratory protection. Do not use a cracked or damaged wheel.
